14th International Sasha Mäkilä Conducting Masterclass in Pärnu, Estonia July 16-21, 2018 with Pärnu City Orchestra
Ten participants will get an intense masterclass experience over six days in Pärnu, Estonia, working with maestro Sasha Mäkilä and the Pärnu City Orchestra. The course consists of four rehearsals and a public concert at the Pärnu Concert Hall as well as evening sessions where we focus on technical details of conducting.
Each participant will enjoy minimum of 20 minutes daily podium time with the orchestra, plus the concert on July 20th. The focus of the masterclass will be conducting technique and communication skills with the orchestra. Participants are allowed to videotape all the sessions.
The course fee is 1200 EUR without accommodation, of 1300 EUR which includes accommodation in a two-person room. Note that this is high season in Pärnu, so finding accommodation can be difficult – remember to check Airbnb and Couchsurfing too!
